Wedding Program Cards For Large Weddings

Include your names, wedding date, ceremony location, and the order of events. You can also list wedding party members, identify readings and musical selections, and add a brief thank-you to guests. Clear headings help everyone follow the ceremony.

Plan for one program per guest if everyone will need to follow readings, responses, or ceremony traditions. One per couple or household can work when programs mainly provide an overview. Include a few extras for keepsakes and for ceremony participants who would like a copy.

Present ceremony events in order, use readable lettering, and keep descriptions brief. For a multilingual celebration, consider including translations of key moments. Short explanations of cultural or religious traditions can help guests understand and participate in the ceremony.

Carry over colors, lettering styles, and design motifs from your invitations and other wedding stationery. A shared monogram or recurring floral detail can create a cohesive look. Keep decorative elements separate from essential ceremony information so the program remains easy to read.

Ask ushers to hand out programs as guests arrive, place them on ceremony seats, or arrange them at clearly marked entry points. For venues with multiple entrances, coordinate distribution at each one to help keep arrivals moving smoothly.
