Wedding Programs For May Weddings

Include your names, wedding date, ceremony location, and the order of events. You can also list your wedding party, identify readings and musical selections, and add a brief thank-you to guests. For a May wedding, a floral motif or a line about new beginnings can bring a seasonal touch to the wording.

May wedding programs pair beautifully with spring palettes such as blush and sage, lavender and ivory, or soft blue and cream. Floral illustrations, botanical borders, and watercolor-inspired details can complement a garden celebration. For a more formal look, consider classic typography with a restrained accent color drawn from your wedding decor.

Repeat a few key elements from your invitations, such as your color palette, typography, monogram, or floral artwork. Carrying those details into your ceremony programs, menus, and place cards creates a cohesive look without making every piece identical. Keep the program layout easy to follow so guests can find ceremony details at a glance.

Start with a welcome that sounds like you as a couple, then add a favorite quote, a meaningful detail from your story, or a note of gratitude. If spring holds special meaning for your relationship, mention it briefly. You can also honor loved ones or explain cultural and religious traditions to help guests feel included in the ceremony.

Place programs at the ceremony entrance, arrange one on each seat, or ask ushers to hand them to guests as they arrive. For an outdoor May celebration, choose a covered display spot and use a holder that helps keep loose programs in place if a breeze picks up. A small sign can invite guests to take one before finding their seats.
