Leaks Spend a little more and get the stainless steel. Ordered for my husband for Christmas from our daughter. Same issue as other reviewers. Water from washing (hand washing!) and condensation leaks in and ruins photo. Photo quality was terrible to begin with, but ruined after washings. Actually just threw it out and went back to old stainless steel photo mug ordered from Shutterfly three years ago that is still in great shape. Will order new stainless steel for Father's Day to update picture. Very disapointed in quality of acrylic. Don't waste your money. I NEVER take time to write these reviews but was so upset with the quality of this. May 6, 2013

Love love love I was a bit nervous about ordering this product after reading some of the reviews, but since I've had such wonderful experience with shutterfly I decided to go ahead with my purchase. I'm glad I did! I LOVE this cup! I use it probably 4-5 times a week and have since getting it several months ago. (I waited to review in case I had trouble like other reviewers.) I mostly hand wash, but have on occasion thrown it in the dishwasher too on the top rack and have not yet had a problem. My lid seals tight, although you do need to make sure it is tight and has screwed all the way on. No leaking problems for me. I love this cup and will most definitely buy another when I wear this one out. April 15, 2013

Bummed out I was so excited to make this, and give to my husband for our 5th anniversary. He takes coffee to work every morning. I loved to see him leave with this cup....but within a few uses, and hand washing by me....the inside became molded starting from the bottom up from condensation. It was not worth to keep with the brown molded pictures!! January 28, 2013

Loved the travel mugs OK. THey aren't perfect - but what is? I got one for each of my family members for Christmas. Able to "review" their lives with 5 pictures each made them VERY special indeed. Yes, you have to really tighten down the lid or it will leak - and it's best not to have the flip stopper down if carbonated or hot drinks are in it - the bubbles/steam tends to force a leak. So far, no problem with condensation ruining any of the pictures, and hand washing is worth it to protect them. Over time this may happen, but the joy they gave just on Chirstmas morning was awesome! Worth every penny, and using special offers kept cost down nicely. I docked one star because of the leaky tops, but only for that reason. Thank you, Shutterfly, for another great product! Doesn't last I ordered one of these for my husband for Christmas. We loved it when it first came, but within a couple weeks of use and hand washing, condensation had gotten inside and ruined the picture. January 23, 2013

photo mug very disappointed. Leaks, picture quality is poor, did not come out with the coloured background I had selected, and the care card inside the mug says that it is not to be used with hot beverages....what?! it is a coffee mug! Scared to wash it as it looks as though it most definitely will be ruined after one wash. December 29, 2012

ok I was really excited when I got my mugs. The quality of the pictures was great and they looked awesome. Then I used the mugs.... The first time I used it my coffee dripped all over me. I thought I put the lid on wrong so I tried again with the same results. I've used the mugs multiple times and I have to wrap a napkin around the seal so it doesn't leak all over me. I have to believe its the overall quality of the mugs since I have 2 both my husband and I get the same results no matter how tightly the lids is screwed on. December 3, 2012

Picture destroys I got this for my mom for mother's day and after a few hand washes the picture started to break and crumble. She never put it in the dishwasher. Water must be able to leak inside and ruins the picture. Disappointed!!! December 3, 2012

Very disappointed!!! I bought this for my father has a fathers day gift and after use the past couple of months it is starting to fall apart!! It leaks and the pictures are destroyed!! It has never been put in the dishwasher and has only been hand washed yet still looks disgusting!!! My father loved it and bein able to show off his grandkids on it but now its completely destroyed!! travel mug I ordered two mugs last year for my son and daughter in law who were married in June. The mugs were great, the photos were sharp and clear. One of the tops broke after they had used the mugs for several months. I followed directions to receive a replacement and it was easy and done very quickly, no hassles at all. I would recommend the mugs and commend Shutterfly on their customer service. November 23, 2012

Created 16 oz travel mugs for 2011 Christmas I created a mug to give family members for Christmas 2011. I ordered seven of these mugs, including one for myself. We all love them and have had no issues with breaking, leaking, etc., and we use the mugs all of the time. I just finished designing the 2012 version!!! November 9, 2012

Photo Gallery 16oz Travel Mug I love my mug. I'll admit it doesn't keep coffee hot for a long time, but I haven't found many that do. Mine has not leaked and i've had it for awhile. I do not put it in the microwave or dishwasher, of course. Everywhere I go, I get compliments on it. I like having the photos of my family on there. I also like the size. It fits nicely into the cup holders in our cars. As we have recently added on to our family, I may have another one made. November 7, 2012

PLEASE READ!! I was super excited when ordering this travel mug. We actually got 4 of them, one for myself, my husband, and his parents. But within the first couple of weeks of having it the mug leaks coffee on us! Horrible seal! I never use a dishwasher or microwave for travel mugs but it still leaks. The coffee doesn't stay warm too long in the mug either. We have an hour before we get to work and if I don't drink my coffee in the car I will have luke warm coffee when I get to work. I also have to drink with the top off if I want to use the mug. So now I just keep it at my desk to see pictures of my son! Love Shutterfly for everything EXCEPT this mug! DON'T BUY! WASTE OF MONEY! GREAT PRODUCT!!! After reading these reviews I had to write one. I made 2 of these mugs for Christmas gifts. We have been using them for 11 MONTHS & LOVE THEM!!! I did not like one of the mugs when it arrived. I contacted Shutterfly & they let me remake the mug for FREE! I have read thru all of the reviews here & I wonder why Shutterfly was not contacted???? I bet they would have replaced the broken products. We have taken these mugs everywhere... football games, school & work. They are used daily in the cooler months and we have not had any problems! We do not microwave the cups & handwash them. October 28, 2012

Great Experience I read the other (mostly negative) reviews and decided to write my own. I purchased this cup as a Father's Day gift for my husband. He uses the mug every night when he goes to work. I only hand wash it. He has had it for about 5 months now and it still looks brand-new. It has not leaked like the other reviews said. I am extremely happy with this product and will be purchasing more for Christmas gifts. Hopefully I will continue to have only positive experiences with this product! October 27, 2012

Doesn't Last Long :( I bought this travel mug for my husband for Father's Day, and he LOVED it! Unfortunately, it only lasted about 2 months before the seal broke, allowing coffee to leak all over the picture. We followed the directions and only hand washed the item, but it didn't seem to make a difference. I would rather pay more money for a quality product, as my husband was forced to throw it away (it was getting really gross). Although this is a great gift idea, it won't last long, so I wouldn't suggest it! October 14, 2012

great quaility My dad uses his photo mug EVERY day and loves it. He has been using it for about 6 months now and it still looks brand new. He does not put it in the dishwasher. October 13, 2012

disappointing The mug itself is very nice and the photo is clear. However the edges of the print are rough. There is a jagged seam on both sides and it looks like they printed the pic and then ripped if off the printer. The edges dont even meet up evenly. I was very disappointed. Could have done better myself. October 13, 2012
