Gatefold Birth Announcement Cards With Baby Portrait

Gatefold birth announcement cards feature two front panels that open outward to reveal the interior. This folded format creates a memorable reveal for your baby’s portrait and provides space for birth details and a personal message.

Choose a sharp, well-lit photo that clearly shows your baby’s face. Leave room around the portrait for cropping, and consider the fold placement so important details don’t fall across a crease.

Include your baby’s name and birth date, along with any details you’d like to share, such as birth time, weight, and length. Add the parents’ names and a short greeting, such as “Our hearts have grown” or “Welcome to the world.”

Choose colors that complement the portrait’s clothing, blanket, or background. Pair simple typography with a detailed photo, or use decorative lettering and subtle patterns to add personality to a minimalist portrait.

A gatefold layout can pair a featured baby portrait with smaller photos of parents, siblings, or sweet details like tiny hands and feet. Keep the main portrait prominent and use a consistent color palette to bring the photos together.
