Printable Rehearsal Dinner Invitations

Include the couple’s names, the dinner date and time, the venue name and address, and RSVP instructions with a response deadline. You can also add the hosts’ names, dress code, and any arrival details. If the ceremony rehearsal takes place separately, make the dinner start time clear.

Plan to send rehearsal dinner invitations about four to six weeks before the event. If guests are traveling for the wedding, share the dinner plans earlier so they can arrange their arrival. Set an RSVP deadline that gives you time to confirm attendance with your venue.

The guest list typically includes the couple, wedding party, immediate family, and anyone participating in the ceremony rehearsal. Partners of invited guests and out-of-town guests may also be included, depending on your celebration plans. Address each invitation clearly so recipients know who is invited.

Match the wording to the mood of your gathering. For a casual dinner, try “Join us for dinner as we get ready to say ‘I do.’” For a more formal event, use “Please join us for a rehearsal dinner honoring [Couple’s Names].” Follow the opening with the event details and RSVP information.

Use a shared color palette, similar lettering, or a design motif that connects to your wedding invitations. Your rehearsal dinner invitation can still have its own personality, such as relaxed wording for a backyard gathering or understated styling for a formal dinner. Keep the event details easy to read.
