Wedding Rehearsal Dinner Announcement Cards

Include the couple’s names, the rehearsal dinner date and time, the venue name and address, and any RSVP instructions. You can also add the hosts’ names, dress code, and parking details. If the ceremony rehearsal has a separate location or start time, make that distinction clear.

Send a card to each household invited to the rehearsal dinner. The guest list typically includes the wedding party, immediate family, and anyone participating in the ceremony rehearsal. Some couples also invite out-of-town guests or other loved ones, depending on the gathering they envision.

A common timeline is four to six weeks before the rehearsal dinner. If guests need to make travel arrangements, share the plans earlier. Set an RSVP deadline that gives your hosts and venue enough time to finalize the guest count.

Choose wording that reflects the tone of the evening and makes the invitation clear. For a relaxed gathering, try: “Before we say ‘I do,’ join us for dinner celebrating [Couple’s Names].” For a more formal event, use: “Please join us for a rehearsal dinner honoring [Couple’s Names].” Follow with the date, time, location, and RSVP details.

They can coordinate with your wedding invitations, but they do not need to match exactly. Carry over a color palette, lettering style, or motif for a cohesive look, or choose a distinct design that reflects the dinner’s setting. A garden gathering, restaurant celebration, or backyard barbecue can each inspire its own visual style.
