Photo book creation has a new look—and new features. But don’t worry, your favorite tools and functions are still here! Explore our guide on how to create a photo book.

Find what you’re looking for

Storyboard view.

Do you prefer creating in storyboard view? Just click the ‘storyboard’ icon in the header.

Flexible photo tray placement.

Keep photos to the left of your book or click the top right icon to move them to the bottom of your screen.

Photo filtering.

Make photos easier to find and place in your book by filtering them right in the customization bar.

Photo sorting and grouping.

Customize your photo tray by making the photos appear smaller or larger. To minimize clutter, hide or remove the ones you aren’t using.

Text & photo alignment.

Select the design elements you want to tweak, then use the ‘Align’ and ‘Match’ dropdown menus to make any shifts you’d like.

Photo backgrounds.

Go to ‘Backgrounds.’ Select the single page or spread option. Open ‘Photos,’ then drag and drop whatever photo you’d like to add.

Importing pages.

Don’t worry! You can still import pages from a different project by going to the ‘More’ dropdown menu above your photo book.

Editing text.

Edit text directly on the page, or from the left-side customization bar—whatever works for you.

Advanced editing mode.

Keep your best editing features easily accessible at the top of your canvas. Just toggle it on when you want it!

Hold down ‘Shift’ then click the elements you’d like to move, resize, align, and distribute at once.

Apply a layout to all your pages.

 

Like how your layout turned out? Easily apply it to your whole book by going to the ‘Page options’ button and selecting ‘Apply this layout to all pages.’

Automatically arrange your photos.

 

The auto-layout tool drops your photos into a layout right when you add them to a page! Switch this toggle OFF if you’d rather create your own layouts.

Shuffle through layouts

 

Once you’ve dropped your photos on a page, you can click the ‘Shuffle’ button to rotate through layouts and find your favorite.

Need more room to see your photos, design elements, or layouts? Click the arrows to expand your view.

Global text styles.

Easily set the fonts and type sizes for your entire book! Go the ‘More’ menu above your photo book and select ‘Global text styles’ to get started.

Adjustable sticker sizes.

Resize any sticker to make it work for your photo book page or design.

Background colors for text boxes.

Want your text to stand out a little more? Now you can add a background color and even modify the opacity.

Easy photo borders.

Add one to a single photo, all photos on a page, or all photos in your book. Just click on any photo to see your options.

New photo cropping experience.

Use the hand to adjust the focus of your photo! Double click to open all your photo editor options.
