How to Upload Your Own Design

Whether you’d like to upload an original design you’ve already created or design a custom card with Shutterfly, we make the process a fun and easy one. Follow these steps to create a thoughtful, memorable and beautiful thank you card for any occasion. 

1. Choose a template, and decide on a card size, cardstock type, trim style, and quantity. For foil-stamped and glitter designs, you can also choose your favorite from several design colors.
2. Upload your photo(s). Depending on the template you picked, you can display anywhere from 1-13 photos on the front of your card. If you already created your own design ahead of time, upload it as an image at this step.
3. Add text. For templates that don’t have foil or glitter, you can choose to add some text to the front of the card, such as your name or a simple, versatile message like “Thank You.” Otherwise, continue to step 4.
4. Personalize the back of the card. Repeat steps 2 & 3 for the back side of your card. You can add additional photos and text to the back to create any layout you want.
5. Customize your envelopes. Once you’re satisfied with your custom thank you card design, the next step is to choose your envelopes. Pick your favorite from several available colors, and discover optional add-ons like slip-in liners.
