Acrylic block I made one as a gift for a friend, and I really like the way it looks, I love how its a clear frame, and you can decorate any part of your home with ease. The reason I didn't rate it a 5 star is because the back part where the picture is, looks like it can peel off, that's the only thing I was a bit worry about. We'll see how it goes. February 6, 2013

Acrylic Frame I love this product. Mine stands vertical and is very sturdy and stable. I know other posts quote otherwise but I do not see it at all. It looks nice and is a nice thickness. The picture is adhered to the back like other posts say and the picture does not go all the way to the edge. There is a white border around the picture. I had a discount so it works for me for the price. Not sure if I would have paid full price. Overall I really like it though and think it would make a nice gift as well! It has a very impressive look sitting on the shelf! February 3, 2013
These Acrylic Blocks Are Incredible These blocks make glossy photos look like gun-powder flash photography from the 1800s. Some advice however: make sure you're proficient with a good tool like Photoshop. For example, you'll want as high of resolution of a photo JPEG as you can get. If you have to up-sample an image, use the "bicubic smoother" algorithm and then reduce any luminance noise you created doing so. But the end result is just stunning. February 2, 2013

My Dad's Memories My Dad is now in his late 70's and doing a lot of reminiscing. When he was a boy his family took a trip to Michigan where his parents grew up, every year to visit. The picture I used for the Acrylic Photo Block was originally a slide my grandfather took back in the 40's. I used that photo because my Dad has been talking a lot about the sand dunes in Michigan he visited as a boy and when we found this picture he was really excited to have it. The picture is very old but looks great in the Acrylic Photo Block. I am very satisfied with the way the Acrylic Photo Block turned out. This is the first one I have ordered and will definately add this item to my Shutterfly favorites. I have used Shutterfly a lot in the past 2 years and all the projects I have look amazing. I recomend Shutterfly to all my friends and family. January 26, 2013
Neat idea The acrylic block is a nice and different idea from a regular frame option. My photo turned out nicely and is a neat display piece. I do think that the block is overpriced though. If you have a great photo for this block and a coupon, it is worh a try. January 26, 2013
Very pretty, but not durable My acrylic photo block is gorgeous. Beautiful to look at. My main hesitation is that the photo is simply applied to the back of a clear block, rather than embedded. The corners of the photo were already (very slightly) frayed when it arrived. The photograph is not adequately protected so it is unlikely to last as long as photo blocks that have the photo between two pieces of acrylic. Between acrylic pieces is a much better design. One other issue is that the cropping was not perfect unless I put a white border around my picture. Despite my picture being a perfect square, without the border, a slice of the top of the head and bottom of the feet were cut off with the 5x5 block. So, I have an awkward white border around my otherwise beautiful picture. It would have been more attractive without the border. I would not buy this product again without improvements. But, it is still a gorgeous piece, for what it is and Shutterfly remains a favorite photo website. January 24, 2013
acrylic photo block This block beautifully displays one of my favorite shots of sons and husband in a wilderness setting.The block gives a 3D feeling allowing a sense of being in the outdoors on that warm, sunny day. Love it. January 24, 2013
