Rosh Hashanah Cards For Friends

Share a warm wish for a sweet new year and a personal note about your friendship. Try, “Wishing you a year filled with joy, good health, and sweet moments. I’m so grateful for your friendship!” A favorite memory or a hope for the year ahead can make your Rosh Hashanah greeting feel even more meaningful.

“Shanah tovah,” meaning “good year,” is a common Rosh Hashanah greeting. You can also use “Shanah tovah u’metukah,” which expresses a wish for a good and sweet year. Pair either greeting with a heartfelt message in English to add your own personal touch.

Make your message personal by including your friend’s name, recalling a happy moment you shared, or expressing what their friendship means to you. If you choose a photo card, a picture from a gathering or shared celebration can complement your wishes for the Jewish New Year.

Apples and honey are closely associated with wishes for a sweet new year, while a shofar connects the design to the holiday’s call to reflection. Pomegranates are another familiar motif, often associated with abundance and blessings. Choose imagery that complements the tone of your message, whether joyful, thoughtful, or traditional.

Yes. Sending a Rosh Hashanah card is a thoughtful way to acknowledge a holiday your friends celebrate. A simple message such as “Wishing you and your loved ones a sweet and joyful new year” conveys warmth and respect without requiring religious language.
