How to Write a Thank You Card

You may be wondering how to write a thank you card. Thank you cards can feel like a daunting task when you have a stack of thank you notes in front of you to fill out. Show your gratefulness to your loved ones by going above and beyond just the normal “Thanks so much” or “Thank you for…” by personalizing your hearts thank you card with a sweet anecdote or inside joke between you. When sending out thank you notes, it’s important to be thoughtful and genuine. Start by figuring out who the heart thank you card is being written for and remembering what they gave you. Writing down a list of presents right after the fact (or having a close friend do it if you open gifts during the celebration) is a great way to keep track of your gifts so you can write thoughtful thank you cards for your guests.

When writing a hearts thank you card, you should always start with a proper greeting. If you’re closer with the thank you note recipient, you can always substitute for a more informal greeting! After the greeting, you can move on to the body of your thank you cards. However you want to express your gratitude, be sure to be specific about what you received and why you’re thankful! A great way to personalize your thank you note is to write how you plan to use the gift you received. To finish off a thank you card, you should end by wishing the thank you note recipient well. Whether you sign off with “Sincerely”, “With love”, or “many thanks”, your friends and family will be extremely grateful just to receive a thank you card acknowledging them.
