"Purchase: 24x36 True Color Glossy Metal Print. Absolutely spectacular. Uploaded image was about ~33 Mpixels ( 4676 x 7039 ). Shutterfly downsampled this to about 8 Mpixels (2338x3520). This is about 98 dpi. The print is spectacular. In normal lighting (full daylight or bright office lighting) the metal print almost looks like the image is being displayed on a 24x36 inch computer monitor screen. In fact, that may be a good way to preview your image before sending it on. One thing: since a 24x36 metal print is fairly expensive, it's important that you choose a photograph with a full 2338x3520 pixels or more in it to get the full value of the metal print. Re-check that photo you've selected has the subject in focus. You can, of course, select landscape or portrait and preview that to be sure the image will fill the 24x36 size completely. In my case, I selected landscape and also ignored the text boxes since I only wanted a lovely image. The print has foam adhered to the back to make it easy to mount without a frame, which I prefer. The print is substantial, but not heavy (less than a typical framed image). It comes with a paper template to drill and mount two screws to hang the print. It is shipped in durable packaging and I have received two prints with no damage on the packaging. Shutterfly is very good about making sure you are satisfied - if the print has any defects which detract from the image, like chips around the edges with no ink, or any flaws in the metal surface, they will most likely replace it if you document the problem and send an email to customer service. In my case, I had a small metal kink which created an optical ripple. The ripple was too big to mask with a frame and Shutterfly reprinted the image and sent it again at no additional cost. Our print has a very large, deep black border with copper, gold, and aluminum tones in the subject. The ink "soaks up" dramatic white LED lighting for effects... Highly recommended !"

Metal prints are high-definition photos on metal panels that are .45 inch thick and rounded at the corners. With no frame required, the prints have a sleek, clean look that is ultra modern and allows all of the attention to be on the subject of your photo. The prints are also free of glass, eliminating worries of breakage if you ever move or if you like to rotate wall art and plan to store your prints during part of the year. A handy hanger is attached to the back, making mounting the prints on the wall quick and simple. Read our guide on how to hang metal wall art.
When purchasing metal prints, you will have a choice of two different finishes. The brushed metal surface starts with a silver basecoat that shows through the final image, muting the colors and adding an elegant metallic tone. To make the colors in your photos pop, you can choose the true color surface, which starts with a pure white base coat. Both surfaces options can be finished with a glossy or matte look to further customize your design.A Masterpiece in Minutes
