Upload Photos from a Computer
Whether your photos are stored on your computer, phone, or a connected photo account, the Shutterfly website makes it easy to upload them to your Shutterfly photo library.
- Log in to your Shutterfly account.
- Click Photos in the top-right corner.
- Select the Upload button next to the cloud icon.
- Choose where you want to upload photos from:
- Computer
- Phone
- Amazon Photos
- Google Photos
- If uploading from your computer, select the photos you’d like to add and begin the upload.
- If uploading from your phone, scan the QR code with your device, select your photos, and they’ll be uploaded directly to your Shutterfly account.
- If uploading from Amazon Photos, Google Photos, or Facebook, sign in to the account when prompted and select the photos you’d like to import.
- Once your upload is complete, view your Timeline or add photos to a specific album.
Upload Photos from the Shutterfly App
The Shutterfly app makes it easy to upload photos from your device or connected accounts while you’re on the go.
- Download the Shutterfly app and sign in to your account.
- Select Photos at the bottom center of the screen.
- Tap the orange Upload button in the top-right corner.
- Choose photos from your device or select photos from connected Amazon Photos, Google Photos, or Facebook accounts.
- Tap the orange Upload button again.
- Choose Upload to Timeline to add photos to your main photo library, or select Upload and Add to Album to place photos in a specific album.

- Open the Shutterfly app.
- Go to Photo Settings.
- Turn on Enable Auto Upload.
- Choose your upload preference:
- Smart Upload selects your highest-quality photos, skips blurry images, and automatically uploads the best photos for future projects.
- All Photos (Low & High Quality) uploads all eligible photos from your device.
- Your photos will automatically upload to your Shutterfly account as new images are added to your photo library.
From Photo Settings, you can also connect your Facebook, Google Photos, and Amazon Photos accounts for easier importing.
